Due to the generosity of the Myra Foundation we are proud to offer a virtual learning platform for teachers, parents, and community members to access onlines classes, resources, and dance programming options to bring the art of dance into their classrooms and homes to inspire students of all ages to take part in the artistry of movement and creativity.

Brain Breaks

Brain breaks are an essential part of a classroom routine, as well as a fun way to break up the day at home. Check out a variety of dance inspired brain breaks for all ages to take a pause and engage our minds and bodies in fun creative ways!

Transitions

Let's explore fun and unique ways we can move are bodies through space. Check out the transition activities you can do in the classroom or at home to engage your child's sensory system!

Classroom Resources

Arts education is an essential part of overall development for all children and youth. At NDBC we want to be resource for you from French Classes, to Physical Education, and of course Movement! We have a variety of resources below you could consider using in your classes. We are also happy to provide customized plans for your class as well as schedule a classroom visit either in-person or virtually as a special guest!

French Class

Ballet uses French words in the names for it's dance steps. Use the attached vocab sheet as well as the linked videos to explore how French culture inspired ballet and to learn some fun ballet French vocabulary. 

Physical Education

Whether it is to get students moving, get them warmed up in a new way, or you are looking to include new ideas into the dance sessions of your curriculum, the following videos are great ways to get keep kids active.

This section will include videos of how to utilize tap dance to help students learn more about musical rhythms. Students will be challenged to recreate the tap rhythms using music.
