Classes
& Programs

Pre-school Programming
Dance, spin, and twirl to the music as your child begins to explore introductory movement and music skills in this fun exploratory class. Dancers will being to learn basic classroom concepts and engage their imagination while learning basic dance steps

  • Baby Ballet (Ages 18 months – 2 yrs)

  • Pre-Technique I (Ages 3 – 4 yrs)

  • Pre-Technique II (Ages 5 - 6 yrs)

 

Recreational Dance Program
Just Dance! Join in the fun and explore the variety of classes available for all skills and all ages in our recreational division. The Academy offers a range of classes in a variety of disciplines such as: ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, conditioning, and creative movement.

Competitive Dance Program
Our Competitive Dance Program is designed for dancers looking for an intensive experience in a team environment. Dancers will participate in regional dance competitions as well as local performance opportunities.

This program is an audition based program with auditions held in May for the upcoming season. Dancers ages 6+ are eligible to audition for one of our competitive teams.

Youth Ballet Company (Apprentice Ensemble)
Our Youth Ballet Company is designed for dancers looking for a strong foundational training experience in ballet with an emphasis on technical training and performance. Dancers from this program participate in three annual performances to include our Holiday Ballet/Nutcracker Performance, Spring Story Book Ballet, and Academy Concert.

Adult Dance Programming
NDBC offers adult programming available for all levels ages 16+. Whether you have never taken a class, or looking to get back into training we have a variety of class options for you to join us for one of our exiting sessions. Please see specific schedule for our class rotation and new offerings for 2019/2020!

NDBC Summer Programs

Summer is great time for dancers to try new classes, camps, conditioning, while enjoying a variety of program options. Check out our variety of camps and summer sessions and make NDBC part of our summer plans!

ELITE Dance Crew

ELITE Dance Crew is the premier hip hop crew in Grand Forks and one of the hottest up and coming performance troupes in the region. Their style is global, cutting edge, and always fresh. The group is founded and led by Eller Bonifacio since 2015.

ELITE Dance Crew is looking for the next batch of dancers for Fall 2019. Train with us to improve your dance skills and get the opportunity to perform in various events in the region. Tryouts will be on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 7:30 PM.

2019-20 Class Registration
Registration is now open for 2019/2020 Dance Season! To register we are delighted to meet with you and determine the class selection for you or your dancer. Registration is available during our Academy Office Hours. Please check out our schedule for a full list of class offerings.

 

FALL REGISTRATION & OPEN HOUSE

Join us to register for classes, learn about our programs, meet our staff, and visit our shoe boutique to be fitted for all of your dance shoe needs for next season!
 

*Please note online registration is ONLY available for adult class sessions. All registrations for youth and teen classes must be done in person.

Pre-professional

division

The Pre-Professional Division is designed for the dancers 18+ that are seeking opportunities to continue to advance their dance training and performance opportunities throughout the region. Dancers are expected to attend weekly company class and rehearsal blocks based on casting.

The focus of this program is creating a community of dancers while fostering artistry. Performance opportunities include annual Holiday Ballet Performance, Spring Company Concert, and various community events throughout the season.

Auditions
We are currently accepting audition applications for our 2019/2020 pre-professional company. Interested candidates may submit their dance resume and video to Laura Arneson at laura.arneson@northdakotaballet.org. Applications can be submitted at any time but encouraged by September 1 for full consideration and casting for the 2019/2020 season.
